About Star Academy
We believe Star Academy offers one of the most comprehensive, multi-sensory, hands-on Bay Area special education programs. We incorporate proven-effective teaching methods throughout the curriculum.
Experiencing daily success is central to the philosophy of Star Academy. Star is a place where students learn to recognize and develop their competence, and where parents and their children can feel hope about the future.
Star Academy is a non-profit organization. The Shining Star Foundation in San Rafael, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, operates Star Academy.
Certification
Star Academy is a private, non-profit school and also a State certified Non-Public School (NPS) by the California Department of Special Education.
Star Academy is FULLY Accredited by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
