New Facility
With hard work and perserverance, we're proud to show the new facility. This was a business office designed in 1984 by TMW. With generous contributions we've been able to remodel this building and get the use changed to a school. There's still a lot to do and still a great need so please contact us if you like to help out.
Architectural design was performed by Brant Fetter of Wagstaff Architects who is also a board member. We found the exterior design by TMW to be quite acceptable and have pretty much gutted the interior. Star Academy is a School that is broadly needed yet is unique in Northern California. The classroom layout, adjacencies and provision for specialists is unique in the United States.
To work at performance standards acceptable to Star Academy, plumbing, heating and cooling have all been replaced. To perform better than most schools in regards to light and air quality, Brant specified Non-VOC paints and materials, and broad spectrum lamps in the high quality light fixtures.

Above: This is the Gym as of mid January 2008, Brant's design removed 2000sq.ft. of second floor to provide a new space. The windows were kept to satisfy the city in regards to exeterior appearance. The Gym will have padding that covers the windows. Left:This is just across the parking area that encloses the property. There's a path paved path that leads to McInness Park, a delightful 15 minutes walk. |

| Main entry, the image is 'stitched' together to so please ignore the distortion similar to a fisheye lens. The hanging pendant lights still have to be hung. | |
