How to Apply

The steps below outline the process for applying for enrollment at Star Academy.

1. Contact Star Academy

If you are interested in admissions for the current school year, please contact admissions to inquire about openings.

2. Attend an Open House Presentation

We recommend, but do not require, that prospective parents attend one of our informational open house presentations. View open house dates.

3. Submit an Application Form

Parents of prospective students should complete an application form (and a scholarship form, if needed) and return it to Star Academy along with a non-refundable application fee of $100 and results of recent evaluative tests administered privately or by the student’s current school.

Completed application forms, test results and student photo, together with the application fee, should be mailed to:

4. Interview with Star Academy Director (Parent)

If appropriate, prospective parents may be asked for an in-person interview with the school director. (Please note that steps 4-7 are evaluative. Not all applicants are invited to proceed through all steps.)

5. Short Visit to Star Academy (Student)

The prospective student may be scheduled for an initial short visit to Star Academy.

6. Long Visit Star Academy (Student)

The prospective student may be scheduled for additional, longer school visits.

7. Receive Enrollment Decision from Star Academy

A final admission decision will be made by Star’s Executive Director and a letter communicating that decision will be sent to parents of prospective students.

8. Decide on Enrollment and Send Deposit

Families of admitted students have 15 days to reach their enrollment decision and to submit a $2,500 non-refundable deposit  if they wish to secure their student’s place in the class.

At the time of enrollment a multi-disciplinary team evaluates each student and formulates an individualized plan tailored to each student's developmental needs and learning styles.
