Deadlines and Deposits
The instructions below outline deadlines for admissions as well as tuition deposits. Tuition assistance/partial scholarships may also be available.

Application deadline for Fall admission - None
Applications are accepted year round for admission in the Fall. There are no application deadlines. However, most applications are received between January and May and they are evaluated as they come in. It is to your advantage to apply early. It takes about six weeks from the date the application is received (and complete) to evaluate a student and reach a decision about admission. Timing is dependent upon the scheduling flexibility and availability of the student for visits.
Application for Current School Year Enrollment
Space permitting, Star Academy accepts applications for current year enrollment year round. Please contact admissions (415) 456-8727, ext 112 if you are interested in current year enrollment.
Tuition Deposit and New Student Assessment Fee
For private paying families, a non-refundable tuition deposit ($3,000) and new student assessment fee ($1,150) are due by May 1 to secure a place in the class. The tuition deposit is applied toward the first tuition payment.
Tuition and fee-for-service payments are due in two equal installments, on July 1st and December 31st. The tuition deposit is deducted from the first tuition payment. Monthly payment options are available upon request to our Business Manager.
Support for Students with IEPs
Many students at Star have IEPs and receive funding from their local public school districts. Star supports families in this process by attending IEP meetings and providing other assistance as needed.
Private pay families who wish to have Star Academy staff attend an IEP meeting should request this through the Head of School. Please note there is a fee of $150 per staff member per meeting for this service.
