How to Apply to Star Academy
The steps below outline the process for applying for enrollment at Star Academy.
1. Attend an Open House Presentation
We recommend, but do not require, that prospective parents attend one of our informational open house presentations. View open house dates.
2. Complete and Submit an Admissions Application Form
Parents of prospective must complete the online application process with a non-refundable application fee. Supporting materials can be uploaded during the online process. Any supporting materials that cannot be uploaded will need to be mailed to the Director of Admissions, Star Academy, 4470 Redwood Highway, San Rafael, CA 94903. Applictions will not be reviewed until all required material is submitted.
3. Initial Student Visit(s)
Once all materials are reviewed, the prospective student may be invited to Star for a visit for up to three school days.
4. Admission Decision
A final admission decision will be made by the Head of School and a letter communicating that decision will be sent to prospective parents.
(Please note that steps 2-4 are evaluative. Not all applicants are invited to proceed through all steps.)
5. Family Decision and Deposit
Families of accepted students have 15 days after acceptance to submit a $5,000 non-refundable deposit and a $2,400 new student assessment fee if they wish to secure their student's place in the class.
At the time of enrollment a multi-disciplinary team evaluates each student and formulates an individualized plan tailored to each student's developmental needs and learning styles.
