Full Time Counselor for Fall 2026

Job Summary

Full Time Counselor - Starting August, 2026

We are seeking a patient, kind and thoughtful clinician to provide educationally related counseling to students with emotional difficulties that impact their ability to access the curriculum. Star Academy is a highly collaborative environment and we are seeking a team player who can work effectively with other specialists and classroom teachers.

Requirements / Qualifications

Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) in School Counseling or School Psychology credential issued by the California. Valid licensure through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) or the ability to obtain a valid licensure. Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a school-based setting, highly preferable. Department of Justice fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis Screening.
