Full Time School-Based Occupational Therapist – New grads welcome
We seeking a Full-Time, Occupational Therapist for Fall 2026.
We are seeking a patient, kind, and thoughtful clinician to provide occupational therapy to students with motor and sensory difficulties that impact their ability to access the curriculum. Star Academy is a highly collaborative environment, and we are seeking a team player who can work effectively with other specialists and classroom teachers. New grads, with school-based and/or pediatric experience are encouraged to apply. Star provides a strong mentoring program and an OT department with two highly experienced occupational therapists to help integrate a new practitioner.

Candidates must have the following qualifications:
· Hold a valid California license in Occupational Therapy and a minimum
of 1 year of prior experience (clinical internship experience is accepted),
preferably in a school-based and/or pediatric setting.
Desired Skills:
· Experience working with students with learning differences, social-
cognitive challenges and executive function deficits in grades 1-12
· Knowledge of current evidenced based practices in Occupational Therapy
· Extensive knowledge of assessment tools and report writing
· Experience facilitating OT groups
· Experience with individual, small group and classroom-based service
delivery models
· Experience being part of an Individual Education Plan (IEP) team and
familiarity with IEP procedures including goal writing, updating and
presenting at IEP meetings.
· Strong collaboration and communication skills.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Strong record keeping and organizational skills
Annual assignments are 202 days, 198 of which are teaching/student days.
